The communication & media arts division supports students’ storytelling abilities through images, interactive media and film. Students generate ideas for media arts productions and practice creative problem solving skills while utilizing digital photography, graphic design, audio, video, film, animation, 3D rendering and printing. Students have access to professional level equipment and programs while they explore the artistic processes of creating, producing, responding and connecting. Students develop ideas and imagery that supports a narrative and message specific to themes and their audience. Students explore a variety of contemporary artists’ work in order to understand the expansive realm of communication and media arts and make connections with the world.
Our program involves partnerships with many local community organizations, giving students opportunities to share their work with an authentic audience.
